as you know, sbahj 39 does not exist, and skips from 38 to 40. clicking next comic on sbahj 38 does take you to sbahj 40, but clicking next comic backwards on sbahj 40 ends up taking you to the empty sbahj 39 page. while it is a nice way to find the easter egg, imo it should just function as it originally did. you can replicate the issue here: https://www.homestuck.com/sweetbroandhellajeff/040

since im already writing this, i might as well mention that the old sbahj links (like https://www.homestuck.com/sweet-bro-and-hella-jeff/1) do not redirect to the current ones. since redirect links were never a feature of sbahj i don’t think it deserves its own report, so im just cramming it into here because i thought it better to at least let you know than not.
