Issues and Bug Reports

up until yesterday (i believe), you could use homestuck.com/(number) to go to said number page (for example, homestuck.com/768 would take you to homestuck.com/002668 , which is considered page 768 of homestuck). however, all of the links that were formatted like that are now returning to 404 error pages. i believe these links could be used to find info more accurately (most of MSPA wiki uses this format while leading to references), so them all stopping working is a bit of a bummer :(

on the old site, clicking on the epilogues would take you to https://homestuck.com/epilogues , and return this little navigator page. now, it just takes you to https://homestuck.com/epilogues/prologue , which makes sense as it is the start of the epilogues, and /epilogues returns a 404. however, the /epilogues link is still important to have, mainly because HSBC links to this page on https://beyondcanon.com/credits . its up to you on how to do this page, but it should be there. you could redirect to /epilogues/prologue, you could bring back the navigator page (wouldn't go for this IMO because it is a little confusing), or you could even use this old start page it had in the week before meat and candy released.

Bring back the FAQS ( http://www.mspaintadventures.com/test_index.php?faqs=show ) section present in mspaintadventures, along with the Problem Sleuth Science FAQ in it (currently unavaliable https://www.homestuck.com/faqs/science ).

EDIT : Thanks to Bodertz for clearing up some mistakes I made in my original feedback. MSPA's intended "look" for below-panel text (per this archived Tumblr post: https://wheals.github.io/tumblr/tumblr.html#font-size ) is "Aliased, 14 point, bolded Courier New". Certain text effects - like the corrupted pesterlogs in act six - were designed with this look in mind. The current Homestuck.com sets its default below-panel font size to your browser's default font size, making those effects a little less seamless if your browser default isn't 14px. Andrew says it "isn’t a big deal" if text doesn't appear "the right way". However, it was a default incorporated into the original MSPA site, and I think it's worth incorporating into the current one.

Same for darkcage2 and pony. Ideally, a redirect would also be added for darkcage, but that is not presently on the site, see https://homestuck.canny.io/issues/p/dark-cage-1-missing

Most links on the site's nav bar change the mouse cursor from the default 'arrow' cursor to a 'pointer' cursor. However, dropdown menus on the nav bar - the 'SHOP' and 'FORUMS' buttons - don't trigger this change. I double-checked the behaviour on an old version of MSPA ( https://mspaintadventures.com/test_index.php ) to confirm that those nav dropdowns trigger the 'pointer' cursor, and they did.

Page 002108 [0] should link to the next page, which is 002235 [1]. Instead, it links to 999998 [2], which then redirects to 002235. Similarly, 002235 links to 999999 [3], which then redirects to 002236 [4]. Since they both do redirect correctly, there's a decent chance you are aware this, and it's maybe even useful for you. But if not, and this is something leftover from development, then hopefully this report is helpful.
